Weddings Worth Watching

When my now husband Nicholas and I thought about who would be the perfect celebrant for our non traditional, non heteronormative, Brutalist, Futuristic, Metallic themed wedding we could not have thought of anyone better than Ben Hull. 

We needed someone who understood our goal to have a very different styled event than a traditional wedding, who understood there's a sense of performance and uniqueness to officiate this kind of out of this world wedding and it couldn't be someone who was afraid to go all in on this theme. 

That person needed to rise to the occasion and dress, create a specific tailored dialogue and work with our specific guidelines for an event that we feel was truly memorable and Ben was exactly that person.

Ben worked with us over many meetings to really understand what we wanted and did a lot of research and listening to fully realise what we needed from him as the 'ring master' to our futuristic ceremony in a brutalist amphitheatre with over 200 guests and did it masterfully and with exactly the right amount of 'show' to entertain and delight all our guests who all couldn't stop talking about his command of our special day.

We are so so beyond happy with everything Ben did, created and executed before, during and after the big day and we both can't recommend him enough to any couple out there who are wanting a truly professional, unique and experienced celebrant for their special day.

He clearly invested so much time in planning his ceremony for us. He crafted a narrative that matched our sense of fun, sincerity, playfulness and humour. He was insightful when listening to our love story, and included all the right details and friends and family who helped us along the way. 

He was a great communicator and kept us informed every step of the way. He gave us a detailed schedule of the ceremony so we knew what to expect. On the day he was a calming presence and put both of us at ease. 

Ben was everything we needed; our cheerleader, our life coach, the voice of reason, PA, Google calendar, we could not have done any of it without him. Our kids adored him from the first pre-wedding catch-up. With his guidance, they become integral to our ceremony and felt included and important in the planning and execution. When anyone gives us feedback from the day, they always start with how amazing our celebrant was. He was a standout, even with two brides in session. 

I’ve been at weddings where I just want to get to the party, but our ceremony with Ben was the highlight of the whole day. Our guests loved it, we loved it, I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
